- design of highly available storage environments with the help of virtualization solutions
- acquisition, assembly/installation and starting-up of server and storage infrastructure
- data migrations with minimized downtime
- integration of applications, e.g. SAP, Exchange, Oracle, MSSQL, VI
Backup
The appropriate backup and recovery strategy will be a growing challenge in the age of centralized data storage and unbridled data growth. Classic backup and recovery environments can no longer meet the demands for very short recovery times and the least possible risk of data loss. The use of snapshot, cloning and deduplication technologies as well as hard disk-based technologies is therefore indispensable.
- conceptual design of backup and recovery scenarios
- design and realization of "disaster recovery" plans and workflows
- consultation on, and implementation of, enterprise-wide backup consolidations
- review of existing B & R / DR concepts and their optimizations
- regular reviews of backup data integrity and execution of restore tests
- execution of "disaster recovery" tests to ensure security of the enterprise data
Storage systems
- set up of "AEC-5 (Availability Environment Classification) Disaster" tolerant systems, i.e. the system must be operational under all circumstances even in case of flooding, storm or fire
- implementation of multi-site configurations for high availability and data mobility
- fault-tolerant and robust behavior of all components
- redundancy of all critical system components
- automatic tiered storage optimization - including flash memory
- moving of data between virtualized storage systems without interruption, even across multiple sites
- virtually immediate recovery of hard drive backups
